Marling

Sunny, quiet and cosy: Marling above Meran

The close proximity to the spa town of Merano make possible stroll through shops, during which the walk through the historic streets, turns into a relaxing experience, to be concluded in the best cappuccino bar in the town's piazza!

In fall, when the leaves turn into yellow, the days get shorter and the nights get longer, the comfortable, rustic Törggelestuben (a term that indicates traditional South Tyrolean dinner, during which rustic dishes are accompanied by grilled chestnuts and new wine) invite to a pleasant night out with friends.
Marling offers various activities for athletes and fitness enthusiasts throughout the year. Mountain biking, Nordic walking, golf, swimming, riding, climbing, canyoning and, for the brave, hang-gliding and parachute.
And for those who prefer quieter activities, there are the paths of ditches and high altitude.
And with the first winter snow, do not wait for skiers, snowboarders and fans of the snowmobile!
Discover the wonderful slopes of the 5 ski regions of Merano and surroundings (Senales, Passeiertal, Meran 2000, Monte San Vigilio and Val d'Ultimo) and the arena Ortles - Cevedale!
Or try a romantic ride on a sleigh pulled by horses through the snowy landscape.
Or, again, what would you say to a walk with snowshoes?

Merano and the Val Venosta also provide much in culture: in addition to several museums, the Botanical Garden's Trauttmansdorff Castle, where you can admire numerous types of exotic and indigenous plants.

Not to miss: Church of Marling, Castel Lebenberg, tourist museum - the museum tour, the Museum of typewriters, Hippodrome of Merano, the Museum of Fruit Growing in Lana, garden / labyrinth of tight Kränzel, the archaeological museum, the Messner Mountain Museum.
